What is the difference between Small Business and Micro Business?

Small Business Consumers are defined by the following definition:

• Fewer than 50 employees or their full-time equivalent AND an annual turnover of at most £6.5 million or a balance sheet of £5.0 million; or
• An annual consumption of electricity of not more than 200,000 kWh; or
• An annual consumption of gas of not more than 500,000 kWh

Micro Business Customers are defined by the following definition:

• Uses less than 100,000 kWh of electricity or less than 293,000 kWh of gas a year
• Additionally, it could be a business with fewer than ten employees (or their full-time equivalent)
• And an annual turnover total not exceeding £2 million
