TotalEnergies Site Access Statement

TotalEnergies Gas & Power Limited (‘TotalEnergies’) is committed to ensuring that any representative who visits a customer’s premises on our behalf does so safely, professionally, and in accordance with our supply licence obligations. This Statement explains the arrangements we have in place to comply with paragraph 13.1 of Licence Condition 13.

1. Use of Third‑Party Agents

TotalEnergies appoints third‑party agents to carry out all activities that involve visiting customer premises. These agents operate under formal contractual arrangements and are required to act in accordance with applicable industry regulations, codes of practice, and legal requirements.

2. Skills, Training, and Competence

TotalEnergies requires its appointed agents to ensure that any representative attending a customer’s premises possesses the skills, qualifications, and competence necessary to perform the activity being undertaken.

Responsibility for training, accreditation, and competence management rests with the appointed agent.

3. Identification of Representatives

Appointed agents are responsible for ensuring that their representatives can be readily identified by customers. This includes:

  • Carrying appropriate photographic identification
  • Clearly identifying the organisation on whose behalf they are attending the premises

4. Passwords and Security Arrangements

Where a password or other access verification arrangement has been agreed with a customer, TotalEnergies requires its appointed agents to ensure that their representatives follow the agreed process before entry is sought.

5. Fitness and Conduct of Representatives

TotalEnergies requires its appointed agents to ensure that their representatives are fit and proper persons to enter customer premises.

Standards of conduct, behavioural expectations, and suitability assessments are the responsibility of the appointed agent, in line with industry requirements and their own internal policies.

6. Oversight and Assurance

While TotalEnergies does not carry out site activities directly, we retain overall responsibility for ensuring that our appointed agents operate in compliance with regulatory and licence obligations.

This is achieved through:

  • Agent appointment and governance arrangements
  • Contractual obligations aligned to industry regulation
  • Ongoing performance and compliance monitoring

7. Customer Support and Contact Information

Appointed agents are required to ensure that their representatives are able, on request, to direct customers to appropriate contact points for help or advice in relation to their gas or electricity supply.

Customers may also contact TotalEnergies directly using the contact details provided on our website or in their supply documentation.
